Jean Meilinger

Jean Meilinger, a former commercial real estate executive, began the study of botanical art upon her retirement in 2016. She took classes at the Chicago Botanic Garden, where she studied under Derek Norman and Heeyoung Kim. Meilinger is a member of the Monday Artist Workshop at Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods. She actively serves on Brushwood’s Board of Directors. Jean continues to focus on botanical art and works in graphite, pen & ink and watercolor. She holds memberships in The American Society of Botanical Artists, Adler Art Center and is an emeritus member of the Reed-Turner Botanical Artists.
