Heeyoung Kim

Heeyoung Kim, founder of Heeyoung Kim Botanical Art Academy, teaches all about botanical art in person and via Zoom. Kim’s botanical art is recognizable by her authentic depictions of native plants of prairies and woods with emphasis on ecological contexts. She has mounted six solo exhibits, co-curated 10 annual botanical art exhibitions with her former and current students at Brushwood Center and participated in numerous national and international botanical art exhibitions in venues including Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and KEW Gardens. Awardee of RHS Gold Medal, Best of Show of ASBA International, Diane Bouchier Artist Award for Excellence in Botanical Art, among others.
