Ellen Brown

Ellen Brown was born in St. Louis, MO. and graduated from Maryville University in St. Louis. She worked for many years as purser on her family’s excursion boats in St. Louis and New Orleans. She and her husband lived aboard their own riverboat on Bayou Terrebonne in Theriot, Louisiana, where she enjoyed the flora and fauna of Southern Louisiana. After moving to the Annapolis, MD area, Ellen renewed her interest in botanical art and began taking classes online with Heeyoung Kim in the continuing study group, Botanicals in Ecological Context. Ellen now lives in the Frederick, MD. area with her two dachshunds.
