Barbara Rose

Barbara Rose has been privileged to study with Heeyoung Kim at Brushwood Center since 2014. Her instruction and inspiration guided Rose through a five-year study of common native trees, producing a solo show in 2019 at the Oak Park Public Library Art Gallery. The show's sales established a grant program at the West Cook chapter of Wild Ones, a national nonprofit, to plant native gardens at schools, churches and nonprofits. She earned a Certificate of Botanical Art and Illustration in 2012 from The Morton Arboretum in Lisle and participated in shows with the Arboretum's Nature Artists Guild and Reed-Turner Botanical Artists.
